10 Most Recalled Cars Ever: Guess Which One Tops The Chart Of The Most Recalled Car in The World? As anybody not currently residing beneath solid mineral material knows, recalls have been in the news a whole heck of a lot recently, mostly due to the GM ignition switch fiasco. Earlier this month, it was announced that among the many GM cars to be recalled were its two most popular pickups — the Silverado and the Sierra — which have both been subject to recalls 6 times so far this year.
Multiple recalls in a single year are not unheard of, but they don’t happen all the time. Many of the recalls are not issued by the manufacturer, but by companies that sell aftermarket replacement parts. But since there’s no way to trace who buys aftermarket parts, it’s easier to send recall notices to people who own the vehicles for which those parts are sold. SEE LIST ON PAGE 2
