In this concept drama, each season takes place within one 24 hour period. Day 1: Jack Bauer is the head of field ops for an elite team of CTU agents who uncover an assassination plot targeting Presidential nominee David Palmer. Meanwhile, Jack’s strained marriage to his wife, Teri, is pushed to the brink by the sudden disappearance of their troubled teenage daughter. What will the next 24 hours hold?
Kate and Chloe team up and the U.S. air drones go rogue in 24 season 9, episode 5. Check out our recap, and share your thoughts on “Day 9: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.”
Just as 24 runs in realtime, so do our recaps. Here is everything that happened in episode 4:
Previously on ’24′
Every week the biggest bragging rights on 24 belong to those characters who get their name shouted out in the opening credits.
CIA Head of Station Steve Navarro
Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau
Agent Kate Morgan
3:00 p.m. – 3:13 p.m.
We open in the immediate aftermath of last week with Jack in custody of the U.S. Marines but more importantly Kate in custody of Tanner’s flight pin. After a confrontation with the lead Marine, Agent Morgan wastes no time in contacting Chloe to finish the upload. Chloe finds evidence of tampering and says any competent programmer will be able to confirm. Thankfully the C.I.A.’s resident competent programmer, Jordan does just that and C.I.A. London head Steve Navarro brings this information to the President.
Margot meets with her daughter to apologize about the whole finger-cutting off thing and then descends back into the basement to make sure Navid is still on schedule with the drones. 15 minutes until all ten drones are in terrorist possession and all hell breaks loose.
3:17 p.m. – 3:24 p.m.
Say what you will about Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau but he seems to learn from his mistakes far quicker than previous dweebish 24 political characters. He rightfully acknowledges that his feelings about Bauer got in the way of making the right decision. Good on you, Mark, but Jack’s still probably going to steal your wife.
President Heller acts quickly to secure his drones but Margot’s cell is still able to take over six. The civilian casualties could be in the tens of thousands. President Heller is in for a lot of bad news. His country has made drones that can’t even be detected by themselves and have already used them in operations with many civilian casualties. Whoops.
Kate is finally fired for good and Margot gets her traditional 24 terrorist talking in a pre-recorded video moment. President Heller must turn himself in within three hours or London will be attacked.
