On July 24, 2016, a bomb exploded at Eugens Weinstube in Ansbach, Germany. One man was killed and at least nine people were wounded. The explosion took place near a music festival and was initially thought to have been caused by a gas leak. A man with a backpack was seen near the site of the blast and may have been denied entry into the music festival shortly before the blast.

An Improvised explosive device is believed to be the cause of the explosion. The unidentified male killed in the blast was the perpetrator.

The bomber, who has been named as Mohammad Daleel, threatened to attack Germany on mobile phone footage discovered by police, in which he declares his membership to ISIS.

The 27-year-old failed asylum seeker, who was about to be deported to Bulgaria, had gasoline, acid, alcohol cleaner, soldering iron, wires and pebbles in his flat.

In the video found on his phone today, Daleel pledges his allegiance to ISIS leaderAbu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The phone and his laptop were seized by police and are being examined by experts with Arabic skills.
