They battle the bulge just like everyone else but their ups and downs are captured on camera at every turn. The media mogul has been very open about her weight struggles, often documenting the ups and downs on her show. At her fittest, she was 160 pounds, but because of a thyroid problem and an unhealthy diet, she has at times weighed over 200. In 2009, she wrote about her body issues in O Magazine, saying: “My goal isn’t to be thin. My goal is for my body to be…strong and healthy and fit, to be itself. My goal is to learn to embrace this body and to be grateful every day for what it has given me.”
Alley has lost and gained literally hundreds of pounds over the years. At her heaviest, she said she topped out at 230. She later dropped 75 pounds with Jenny Craig, but by the time she joined Dancing With the Stars in 2011, she was back to a size 14. Daily rehearsals got her down 100 pounds to a size 6; however, she again regained some of the weight.
