The Chairman and Chief Executive of Channels Television John Momoh has been elected the chairman of the Broadcast Organisation of Nigeria (BON).
He emerged as the new helmsman in a keenly contested election to make a new record as the first private media owner to Chair BON.
Momoh is widely recognized in Nigeria as a transformative industry pioneer with the 37-year-long career in news television broadcasting.
BON was Established in 1973, and is today comprised of over 100 members and they collectively own over 250 radio and television stations. BONâ€™s vision is to foster a future-proof environment for radio, TV and new media broadcasters to serve their audiences and contribute to the development of our society. BONâ€™s mission is to continue to be the voice of the broadcasting industry in Nigeria.
