CNN Now Rejects Nigerian Political Adverts ?

CNN_Center_newsroom1CNN has been turning down political adverts from Nigeria , according to The Cable .The Nigerian  governments, private companies and even individuals are known for patronising the American networj for adverts . I also gathered from the report by The Cable that a 30-second spot at prime time costs N5m ! A consultant to a presidential aspirant told The Cable :“We approached CNN agents in Nigeria to place some adverts for our principal. We sent the creatives to them as requested and they returned them, saying they do not run commercials that are intended to campaign for votes. We could not believe it.”

Another consultant, who is working for a state governor seeking re-election also disclosed that he had  a similar experience. But it was not all though , only the ones that has no discrimination against Nigerian politicians are being accepted by CNN.
