The Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions (EFCC) has seized properties belonging to former Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The Nation reports that EFCC confiscated houses and a very expensive wrist watch worth Â£600, 000 as well as other gold and diamond jewelry from the former minister who is being prosecuted at the Westminster Magistrateâ€™s Court in London for money laundering and bribery allegations, along with her accomplice Jide Omokore
According to the source:Â â€œWe have seized many houses belonging to Diezani and Omokore on Banana Island and other places. Also, a wristwatch of about Â£1.4million was seized from Omokoreâ€™s wife. From the former minister, we have retrieved a choice wrist watch worth Â£600,000 and jewelry in gold and diamond. We will soon show Nigerians all these items for them to appreciate what we have done and to learn some lessons.â€
The source added that the seized wrist watches has prize tags attached to them.
