According to Naij “This is one of the toughest senatorial election yet to be witnessed in Ogun state. “There had been drastic increase in political activities among parties in Ijebu-Ode and its environs. “Ijebu Igbo was thrown into a total standstill as the PDP ended their campaign, as instrusted by electoral laws .
“A notable figure in the coming election is Prince Buruji Kashamu who is contesting for the Ogun East senatorial district under the PDP. It was a homecoming for Ijebu Igbo indigenes who turned out in their large number to welcome their son Buruji Kashamu.
“The race to occupy the Ogun East senatorial district is among three major gladiators: Prince Buruji Kashamu, Prince Dapo Abiodun (the APC) and Adegbenga Sefiu Kaka (the SDP) who is seeking re-election.
“Prince Dapo Abiodun is a multi-billionnaire and the CEO Heyden Petroleum Limited who has embarked on community electrification across the state as part of his individual commitment to community development with promise to do more if elected as a senator.”
