The organisers of African Film Academy (AFA) will be hosting the African Cinema industry to celebrate its 10 years of transforming the African movie scene. The event, according to one of the brains behind the project, Elohor Mukoro, would play host to South Africa’s biggest gospel group Joyous Celebrations, Kgosto and Nigerian renowned gospel singer, Gabriel Eziashi among other artistes. Elohor who said that it was high time intellects were celebrated, recognised and acknowleged across Africa, added that “No doubt, it is going to be an awesome night to celebrate with African stars across the continent. AFA has been developing the African cinema in the last 10 years. It is one development that has been recognised across the world as one of the fastest growings.”
The event is slated for August 17 at the popular Grand Ball Room, Oriental hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
