Ja Rule, Ashanti to Perform Live In ‘Warri Again’



The ancient city of Warri, Delta State will be temporarily shut down come October 1, when American gruff-voiced rapper, Ja Rule, and R&B singer, Ashanti perform with their Nigerian counterparts in a show to mark this year’s Independence Day celebration.The organisers of the show, tagged: ‘Warri Again: The Flagship’, Brownhill Events Centre said, both Ja Rule and Ashanti have already confirmed storming Nigeria for the show.

Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, is one of the biggest American rappers from the early 2000s, known for hits like “Between Me and You,” “Always on Time” and “Put It on Me.” He made his way onto the rap scene in 1999, with his debut album, “Venni Vetti Vecci” which became No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and launched the career of the rugged rapper with a grizzly voice.  SEE MORE ON PAGE2
