THEME: CULTIVATE THE HABIT OF POSITIVE THINKING
TEXT: Acts 2:42, 1 Corinthians 10:20
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. †(Proverbs 23:7)
There are many people today whose problems can be located in the state of their minds; the way they think. Such people suffer from psychological defeatism. As a result of one mishap or the other, they conclude that everything has come to an end. As such, they lose hope. They pray and never believe that God will answer.
Christianity is a belief system that tasks your faith. You have to believe in the power of God without necessarily seeing it. It requires no speculation. So, you must think right. You must believe very strongly because you might become a victim of your own thoughts. Many people cannot benefit in the gift that God has given them simply because they cannot get themselves to believe that such gifts are there. They view their performances as mere co-incidence. What is your state of mind? Are you among those thinking that all is lost? From today, begin to think positively and you will discover that there is all to play for.
Sing a few warfare songs, thank God for yet another day and then take the following prayer points
1. Any power ministering negative thoughts in my heart; be uprooted, in Jesus’ name. Any defeatist attitude in my life; be quenched by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.
2. Any spirit of poverty, backwardness, stagnancy, snail-speed progress assigned against my life; I break loose from your captivity. Be ousted, in Jesus’ name.
3. Any ancestral chain of never-doing well in life; every satanic padlock, fetters of iron and shackles which the enemy has used to bind my life; by the resurrection power in the name of Jesus I command them to break.
4. Any swallowing power, swallowing my G.O’s prayer for my life; be destroyed, in Jesus’ name.
