Nigerians blasts El Rufai despite son’s death,Instead of commiserating with former minister, Nasir El Rufai over the loss of one of his sons, who died in a car crash in the early hours of Tuesday, some Nigerians have taken to his facebook page to condemn and mock him. The former minister, known for always antagonizing the federal government, broke the sad news in a statement posted on his Facebook page, saying “From Allah, we came and to Him we shall return. Please join our family in praying for the repose of the soul of my son, Hamza El-Rufai who died this morning in a motor accident in Abuja”. Of the 30, 197 comments that the facebook post generated, about seventy percent of them were harsh and condemning. Commenting on the post, some followers condemned El Rufai for posting such a message on facebook rather than mourning his son.
Some others mocked him and sarcastically queried him for not blaming President Goodluck Jonathan for the accident.
One Miss Ezenma wrote “Are you serious? You have the mind to come online to “post” after losing your son this very morning in an accident when you should be mourning and be inconsolable”. SEE MORE ON PAGE 2
