Today the 27th of July, we celebrate Veteran actor Francis Duru. The Imo State born role interpreter shot into limelight with some of the earliest home video films in what is now celebrated as Nollywood. Francis can be described as a pioneer in every right because he is role model to many celebrated Nollywood actors to. He starred in most of the earliest films such as Missing Mask, Mama Sunday, Rattle Snake, and so on.
Although Francis took a sabbatical from acting by relocating to Abuja as a businessman, contractor and events consultant, he later returned to the movie set which was his first love. He was recently involved in political rallies and campaigns in the just concluded election in the country.
