Omoni Oboli (born 22 April 1978) is a Nigerian actress and producer. In 2010 she won the award for Best Actress – Narrative Feature at the Los Angeles Movie Awards, and the award for Best Actress at the Harlem International Film Festival. 

She was nominated for the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the 2011 Africa Movie Academy Awards. In 2014, Omoni won Big Screen Actress of the Year award, at the 2014 ELOY Awards, for her movie Being Mrs Elliot.


Oboli was born in Benin City in Edo State, Nigeria. She is a descent of Mosogar in Delta State.xOboli studied Foreign Languages at the University of Benin majoring in French. In 1996, while still at the university, she shot her first films. Shen then took a 10 year break, got married, and returned to the screen in 2009 with the movie Entanglement. 2010 saw Oboli feature in the award-winning film The Figurine, which won the Best Picture award at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards

Nigeria actress Omoni Oboli, was born in Benin City, Edo state, hails from Mosogar in Delta State,   She had her secondary school education at Delta Steel Company Technical High School (DSC THS) Between 1989 and 1994 and went on to study at University of Benin where she holds a Bachelors degree in Foreign Languages (majoring in French, Language). 
In 1996, while in University she produced her First movie. She is an award winning Actress, Movie producer and script writer. Omoli Oboli got married to her Husband Nnamdi Oboli on October 28, 2000.

After a long break from the Nigerian movie scene Omoni made a comeback, featuring in Kunle Afolayan’s award winning movie, the Figurine, which starred top cast like Desmond Elliot, Yemi Blaq and Mercy Johnson in 2009. The major movies she’s featured in includes but not limited to;
