THEME: DO NOT MOCK THOSE IN TEARS
MEMORY VERSE :
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17
TEXT: 1 Sam 1:4-7
7 And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:
5 But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah:but the Lord had shut up her womb.
6 And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the Lord had shut up her womb.
7 And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.
You are married with children? Good! Your business or career is progressing? Beautiful! Your children are doing well in their career and training? Wonderful! You have a beautiful car or cars; you have a house in town and at home – magnificent edifices? Splendid! You are comfortable; everything is working for you; your health is sound and you are highly connected? Praise God!
My brother/sister, be careful how you conduct yourself in the midst of others. This is important because your character is a mirror of you and what is in you. Even when you dress in the Chosen way, and behave in the pattern of the Lord’s Chosen, the question is, how is your character? Have you changed inside? How do you relate with others? How do you carry yourself in the midst of others? Does your marital status, your having children, your being successful in your business and career blow up your head?
Look at where we read in 1 Sam 1:4-7; how the devil used Peninnah to cause her mate Hannah to be miserable simply because Peninnah had children while Hannah had not. It is common in our midst today; you find Christians who use what God has given them to torment others psychologically. This is common among women, because some of them use it to square up when they find themselves in the midst of those they think they have gone ahead of them: “After all I have my children”; “Have they experienced the labour room pains? How many of them have bought baby milk?” These are some of the words that make others to weep .
How many of Peninnah’s sons have you heard about in the Bible? If you are a child of God, there are things you MUST NOT do; one of them is making others to weep. God can rain His anger upon you for being so heartless. Please, avoid it! It is the spirit of Peninnah.
. Pray against the spirit of Peninnah in every aspect of your life as a Christian.
. Pray for those parents who are still waiting upon God for the gift of fruit of the womb; remember them with your whole heart as you pray SEVEN times.
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?.
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian),do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
