The Nigerian-American actress Uzo Aduba just a few hours ago won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series at the just concluded 2015 Screen Actors Guild awards. She took home the statuette for her role as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren in the hit TV show Orange Is The New Black. The 21st edition of the awards took place last night (Jan. 25) at The Shrine Auditorium on January 25, 2015.
This was Aduba’s first nomination and first win, she began to cry as her name was called out. A stunned Aduba began by saying, “Oh my god, I really, truly do not know what to say, I just want to say thank you so much to the Screen Actors Guild for this incredible honor.”
